  • What’s the difference between a Dietitian & nutritionist?

    While both professionals focus on improving diet and overall health, a dietitian has a more extensive education — requiring a master's degree in dietetics, followed by completing an accredited internship and passing a national licensing exam. On the other hand, a nutritionist may have varying levels of education and experience. 

     

    Working with a dietitian can provide numerous benefits — including personalized nutrition and lifestyle advice tailored to your individual needs, evidence-based recommendations, and ongoing support and guidance to help you achieve your health goals.

  • What should I expect during our first session?

    You can expect a warm and welcoming environment as we get to know each other. We will discuss your medical history, health goals, and any challenges you may be facing. I will ask you to walk me through an average day of food intake so I can better understand your current habits and patterns. Together, we will determine a plan forward that is tailored to your individual needs and lifestyle. I am here to support you every step of the way on your journey to better health and wellness.

  • Will I need to follow a strict diet?

    No, ma’am!

     

    While I may provide guidance and recommendations for healthier eating and lifestyle habits, I don't believe in strict diets that can be restrictive and unsustainable. Instead, I work with you to create a balanced and realistic plan that aligns with your lifestyle and goals to set you up for long-term success. 

  • Do you take insurance?

    Yes, I do currently take insurance!

     

    I’m in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care, Aetna, Cigna, and Anthem. 

  • Do you provide meal plans?

    No, not in the traditional sense.

     

    But here’s what I CAN offer you: Instead of providing you a generic meal plan that may not suit you very well, we create a plan together that is tailored to their specific needs and preferences, ensuring you can maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle for the long haul.
